Lewes provides a wonderful setting to take a short break together with your course. The picturesque county town is set on the river Ouse within the newly formed South Downs National Park, and is dominated by the ruins of the great Norman Castle. Lewes with its twisting medieval streets and tiny twittens all lead to a fine array of small specialist shops. The town is also haven for foodies with plenty of local produce available including ; local cheeses, fresh locally caught fish and local free range meat, all of which are used at the school.You will find the town is well served by its many restaurants and pavement café's including the now famous Bill’s Produce Store and not forgetting Lewes is also the home of Harvey's Brewery and with Breaky Bottom vineyard close by good beer and wine is always on tap. |

There are many artisans working in the town from instrument and jewellery makers to potters and glass blowers. For lovers of music and art, Lewes is quite unique with its many galleries and the famous Glyndebourne Opera house just 4 miles away. The area also provides wonderful walks together with a wealth of other amenities including golf, swimming and tennis.
