Relaxed hands on cookery courses for food lovers of all abilities
Whether an enthusiastic novice or confident cook wanting to increase your skills, Thackerys will teach you new techniques and unlock some of the mysteries that can often shroud the art of cooking. Their aim is not to over complicate but to have dishes that are interesting and straight forward, giving you the confidence to cook wonderful food you will be proud of.
Each course will have a maximum of only four people attending which gives each person plenty of individual attention and allows chef/proprietor Graham Funnell to create a daily changing menu to suit everyone in the group. He says that rather than have fixed themed days like other cookery schools; he wants his students to have an input into what‘s cooked so they feel part of the course even before they arrive. Graham will discuss beforehand what type of food they enjoy cooking, suggesting dishes and asking them for feed back, which helps him to create a menu to suit everyone in the group. He feels this is what makes his courses so unique, and what people really love about them.
